gearing up
Christy (mom-in law) and I went shopping today and got some cute little everyday dresses so Emilee can have clothes to wear while in her cast, since pants won't work. I figured the cast will add some extra bulk so I bought a size up from what she wears now. We got size 18 months! It's almost double her age now (10 months) so it seems a little crazy. Although she sometimes still wears size 6 month clothes. I just think "Oh my, how crazy... this little baby is nearly a toddler." When did this happen? But we are gearing up physically, preparing for things we may need during this 3 months to come. Bean bags are ordered for her to lay on, extra big clothes are bought. I don't know what else to do for now except gear myself up mentally. I'm trying to gear myself up for that moment when they take her away from me and wheel her into surgery. I think that will be the hardest part because she trusts that you will not do anything to hurt her but I know it will actually help her.
