Well Daniel's Colorado hunt didn't yield any deer but they still wanted to hunt, so we decided to go Red Canyon Lodge- "The civilized way to enjoy the great outdoors." It is up near Flaming Gorge, we stayed in a little cabin and the boys hunted in the mornings (if you can even call it that) and in the evenings my mother-in- law, Em and I came along for the ride. We hung out in the cabin all day, rented a paddle boat and went around the lake and tried to fish and fed the ducks. One night we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed watching this chipmunk stuff its cheeks over and over again with bird seeds and had the most rich, pure, dense, chocolate-heaven cake! Oh, I want more of it! Camp fire hot dogs are also a favorite.
We saw a few deer and Daniel even got out and stalked some and I was terrified I would witness the massacre, but luckily they ran away! ha ha. He did kill his deer the next morning though but at least I wasn't around.
The cabin. It was like a duplex. Our last day we got neighbors from Pennsylvania and they were mountaineers and made it clear they have been all over the world climbing mountains. They were nice though. They came all the way to Utah to climb Kings Peak and said it was one of the hardest mountains they have ever done.

That family picture is almost more than I can stand! I unabashedly adore it! Well, not as much as I adore the people in the picture, but you get the point.
I would have to side with Daniel--Emilee looks awfully happy touching a dead deer's antlers. I guess that's what you get. :)
Her name craft is DARLING! Jenna, you totally inspire me!
Jenna, these pictures are so cute! Your little family is adorable, especially in all camo. :)
